THE FOOT PROJECT - started in CALAIS has a group of Podiatrists and Lower Limb specialists who worked be at the migrant camp in Calais (aka " the jungle ") to provide free healthcare to those in desperate need.
We went to CALAIS 7 times in 2016 now in 2017 are looking to raise money to fund the project costs to run the projects in GREECE . These include, medical disposables (such as dressings), logistics, and all other associated costs with holding a pop up clinic.
Any money donated will always be spent wisely and with the best interests of those in need. There is no profit to be made from this project, the team are giving up their valuable time in fully paid jobs to travel to another country to use their skills to help others completely free of charge.
The funds are required as soon as possible. The latest clinic dates are the 25 July - 6 th of Jan 2017.
This project is essential to provide specialist care to those in desperate need. So any donations will be gratefully received. This opportunity gives those working in healthcare to really make a difference and remind ourselves why we got into healthcare in the first place.
THE FOOT PROJECT will be over the moon with any amount donated, please follow our Facebook page for updates as to the progress of the project. Those willing to give up their time to work on the project has been overwhelming. I hope that numbers willing to donate will also be as plentiful.
