Ryan and Her Damn Chinchilla

My 11 year old daughter deciced on Thursday night at approximately 11:30 PM (PST) that she HAD to have a Chinchilla. Like, HAD to. Her life would be incomplete without this pet despite the 3 cats, 2 dogs, Bearded Dragon lizard, beta fish and corn snake that currenly reside in our home. So...I gave her a challange. I said, "You can get this incredibly expensive pet with its incredibly expensive upkeep but only if you pay for it yourself."
Ryan, always up for a challange was like, "fine" and then proceeded to set up a lemonade stand at 2:00 PM on a Saturday in 111 degree heat and raised $31 in less than two hours. Damn me and my stupid ideas...My friends suggested I do a GoFundMe campaign and so here ya go!
The Chincilla is sooo cute though! And she's going to take care of it 100%! Which of course she will, I mean duh! What 11 year old commits to taking care of a pet and then shirks her duties? That, like, NEVER happens.
So...despite the fact that I give it two weeks before I'm the one scopping chincilla poop out of its amazingly elaborate cage (it's literally ridiculous the cage they need), I am a total sucker for pets. I almost kept a woodpecker that made its way into my house last week and I would probably have 15 cats and 12 dogs if I could.
She needs another $300 to realize her goal. Any funds collected over the $300 mark will be donated to the Arizona Humane Society, Campus for Compassion on Dobbins Rd. in Central Phoenix. (www.azhumane.org)
Thank you to all my crazy, wackadoodle friends that have decided to support what will, apparently, save my daughter's existance from a dark and cruel world. Next week she'll want a baby pig so stay tuned for THAT campaign...
