The Ultimate Theatre

Long ago, I was in grade school and didn't fit in, as so many of you can relate to. I was in the sixth grade and I was tricked into doing theatre. Mom signed me up (thanks mom) and two weeks into it I thought we were just reading some lines in front of the class with some costume pieces..... Little did I know that we would be memorized, in a small theatre, in front of a couple hundred people, singing and acting. I was scared but I was going to do it. I was Benjamin Franklin and given a solo song. It was a cheesey song about all his creations and works. I finished my song and heard the roar of the audience and as I left center stage all I could think about it was that I wanted to do it again!

So here we are, many years later and many shows later. I have come to the desicion that I want to build a theatre! I do not want a theatre company that is constantly performing.... I want the building... From scratch...... on a piece of land that I own!

The theatre world is so small and there are so many companies out there that have no place to perform. I want to be able to rent out this building to groups for a reasonable price!

But not only that! I grew up in a very Catholic and Conservative house hold who felt theatre had a very bad name. The arts have a bad name for a career choice and that hurts me deeply. Now, I love my God and my faith and I am a very devout Catholic and I am very Conservative. But after tasting a small bit of the professional and community world of theatre, I understood where the titles, "Pit of Impurity" and "Foul Mouth House" came from.

It's time that changed. Theatre is something magical; theatre is a saving grace to some people (myself especially) THEATRE is close to the soul because no where can you become closer to your emotions and learn more about yourself than in theatre. That is what made me who I am today and that is what I believe.

I want to revolutionize the theatre world. I envision a place where families aren't afraid to bring their kids, where teens have a place to let go of their rage, stress, and emotions, and where adults can still be a part of theatre in the community. I don't want it to be  some foreign concept to have a good time at the theatre with a good, clean, conservative version of a show. There is no middle ground in theatre, everyone that I work with is such a pleasure but its either kids' theatre where you have to walk on egg shells to even do Shrek the Musical, or community/professional theater where you just don't know if you will be comfortable with the concepts and opinions that come with it.

Its time for a new theatre. Its time to create a place  that can be called home, family, fun, and career.

Ladies and gentlemen.... The time has come for my Theatre: Veta Iter
