We are missionaries!
We quit our jobs to travel the US in an RV helping people! While we've been on the road for 10 months now, we have found many things to be easier than we thought they'd be. For instance, it was incredibly easy for us to fall in love with the homeless and hungry. And helping that population wasn't even a goal when we started! Another thing we've discovered is that it's incredibly easy to go broke doing this.
Our goal was to travel for one year (August 1, 2018 - August 1, 2019). That one year is quickly approaching, but we don't feel like we're finished. There is so much more to learn before we stop and use our experience in whichever location we decide to settle. And money is quickly dwindling. To help us continue, we need to reach our goal of $5000. This will give us a huge step forward in extending this adventure until it's meant to end.
Here's a little about us. Geoff is a tatted-up, pierced guy who yells bad words at the refs during Vikings games. And Bethany is sassy and sarcastic and just hateful in general. We know it's weird that we're missionaries. But God didn't wait to call us until our behavior improved. He called us NOW, knowing how we are and who we are and wanting us anyway. We hope that, by being ourselves, we can love people and serve those who otherwise might miss out.
