This wonderful family will be bringing a newborn baby home in just 4 weeks! They need our help! During this holiday season, would you consider giving to help cover the adoption cost? Every penny counts! Below is the full story!!

As early as college, Amy and Josh have had a spot in their heart for adopting a child. Their original plan was to wait five years and then start a family naturally and then adopt children. After a few years of trying to start a family of their own, they realized they needed to explore other options.

In the fall of 2012, a doctor told them Amy was dealing with infertility. In the winter of 2016, Amy had a surgery to address her endometriosis, a condition the doctor said was making her body a hostile environment that prevented her from having a baby. Both Amy and Josh underwent tests and more to try and discover why they couldn’t have a child. Unfortunately, answers continued to evade them.

After nearly 10 years of marriage, they decided to pursue adoption, though the wait lists for adoption were sometimes into multiple years. To fulfill their desire to help children immediately and start a family, Amy and Josh decided to foster children in need and completed all the Indiana fostering classes. Their last remaining step to foster a child was a home study, which they’d decided to have completed after the Christmas holiday season.

This all changed when Amy unexpectedly received a call on Wednesday, December 7th. The caller was one of her best friends who has been the director of a pregnancy center in Florida for two years.  A female inmate in one of the local jails asked the center to find a family for her unborn baby, saying she wanted to do a direct adoption with the right family.

In less than 48 hours, Amy and Josh went from not expecting a child at all to having a confirmed birth mother with a baby due in mid January of 2017. Where most families have nine months to prepare mentally and financially, they have just a few weeks. They will be traveling to meet the birth mother after Christmas, and then returning for the birth of the baby in January.

The total cost of the adoption and expenses will $20,000. Amy and Josh only have a few weeks to come up with $20,000 that they weren’t prepared for. Anything you give will be greatly appreciated as this will help Amy and Josh cover expenses to fulfill a need and answer a prayer of more than seven years.

If you are able, a gift toward their adopted child will go incredibly far to help offset the unexpected costs associated with home studies, adoption agency fees, attorney fees, and hospital expenses for the baby.

Amy and Josh weren't anticipating having a newborn baby in such a short time and they're doing everything in their power to make it work. Your gift, of any amount, will enable them to start the family they’ve wanted for nearly a decade and give a newborn child a loving and healthy home.

Please consider a gift this holiday season to help make a dream come true.
