The Nico Signore Scholarship Fund

Nico (Nicolo) Signore was a 14 year old boy with a big heart and and an incredible ability to light up a room with his smile. Those who were blessed to have known Nico witnessed his infectious love and happiness. Unfortunately, on February 24, 2017, he died doing what he loved to do - riding his bicycle. While riding his bike with his friends, he was struck by a car in his hometown of Miller Place, New York. 

Nico loved to do so many things like play video games, snowboarding, and bike riding.  His true passion was playing goalie for the Miller Place Panthers Lacrosse Team.  He proudly wore the number "20" for the Miller Place Panthers. In 2016, Nico was awarded the outstanding honor of the Coaches Award in lacrosse for his courage, commitment, leadership and determination on and off the field. Nico was a natural in just about anything he did.  

Nico's parents want to commemorate Nico through this scholarship fund.  This Nico Signore Memorial Scholarship fund will keep Nico's legacy alive. Nico's scholarship fund will recognize kids who embody the same exemplary spirit, courage, determination, love of community and passion for living that Nico exhibited so naturally throughout his short life.  Each year, a Miller Place High School senior will be recognized through this scholarship for having the same admirable attributes as Nico.

Please help us honor Nico's memory by making a donation to The Nico Signore Memorial Scholarship Fund. All the money raised will go towards keeping Nico's legacy alive.  Nico won't be around to complete all the good work he started but this scholarship fund will be an inspiration for others to continue what Nico started.
