The Melendez girls education fund

Rene Melendez was a Local 94 Engineer, aspiring business man, dedicated husband and father. He worked hard each and every day to provide for his family. This past Sunday September 2nd ,on his way home from his 8-4 shift, a tragic car accident took him away from his wife and children.

Rene was a generous man, the first to show up when needed the most. During Hurricane Sandy Rene responded to assist the family of another Local 94 member he had never met after seeing the request for help on social media. Each one of us, the members of his engineering crew and all of his friends benefited from his skills over the years and he asked nothing in return. He gave back to the community that assisted him as a boy at every opportunity.

Rene has touched so many lives over the years, many have reached out and asked how can they help. So we, the friends, family and co-workers of Rene Melendez have created this this Go Fund Me page in the hopes that we will be able to provide for his girls the education and support he will no longer be able to provide for them.
