Ok, I’m going to give it straight to you, I’m desperate and need your help to replace my P.O.S. (1987 Chevy s10). Up until a few months ago it was my daily driver. True, we have April’s car, and we have been sharing it, however, we are truly stuck between a rock and a hard place. As I write this my P.O.S. might as well be a crushed cube of scrap metal sitting in the driveway, just like in the Disney favorite “Wally”
According to my mechanic the piston rings are shot and the motor is on the verge of seizing up. The cost of repairing it, is more that the car is worth. That is why I’ve turned to GoFundMe. I really hate rattling a tin cup, be it IRL or online, but I don't have any choice right now. My pride has to take a backseat to reality officially a P.O.S. is now toast, and on top of everything it will cost more to fix the P.O.S. than it’s worth.
We’re trying to stay upbeat but, to be honest; we are at the point that sharing the car has become a major problem. April has obligations in Coppell and I have obligations on the other end of the metroplex in Burleson. This catastrophic loss has seriously impacted out lives on a daily basis. Having to reschedule, doctor appointments and other comments that we both have, it’s become a BIG pain in the, you know what I mean. We tried looking on Craigslist, but with what little funds, all we would be able to afford would get another P.O.S.
This is why we have turned to GoFundMe. I really hate rattling a tin cup, but we don't have any choice right now. My pride has to take a backseat to reality. E are not asking for a new car, just something reliable that will get me to Burleson and back home and to get April her car back.
True I’m are asking for $6000.00, but I’m not asking that amount from anyone person, and we know that the possibly of hitting goal is out of reach. However, I’m not going to give up. I would really appreciate it if you could donate $20.00 or $30.00 that you be helpful.
