After an unexpected and devastating loss, Brian Hillman has left behind his wife, Lisabeth, and their three children, Grant, Troy, and Tate. Brian was a loving dedicated father, whose first priority was always his family. He served as a police officer for 23 years, and was loved and admired by his LAPD law enforcement family.
Lisabeth has just started a new position that requires her to be out of state for an extended period of time each month. This is a trying time for the family and Lisabeth must keep this job as she is the sole income for the family and there is no pension or retirement fund. Lisabeth would never ask for outside help, but as close family friends we know the need. The family is facing many expenses, between paying for funeral services, fixing their car, college tuition, and most importantly, finding a new home. The circumstances made it impossible for the children and Lisabeth to return to their current home.
Our family is doing all that we can in this difficult time and have taken them in. Stability and security moving forward is critical at this juncture and we understand the need to make more permanent the place they call "home". We know it will take many open hearts to ensure that the family carries on in a healthy environment on their journey to make themselves whole.
Brian and Lisabeth's children were always their first priority and we know Brian would want nothing more than for their children to have the opportunity to continue their education and succeed without their dad by their side. Brian was a "present" father and attended every event and milestone in their lives and was adored by his sons and wife. He was a truly special human being and we hope that you will help his legacy by supporting his children and wife as they navigate their paths forward.
