The Great Orchiestra of Christmas

Spende geschützt
Polish NI Community Network would like to ask you to support our project, which is being organized for the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity.  It is a worldwide fundraising event which is the biggest, non-governmental, non-profit, charity organization in Poland. The GOCC aims to support health care in Poland by purchase of state of the art medical equipment for Polish hospitals and clinics.  The Grand Finale fundraiser in 2017  takes place on Sunday 15 of January. The day-long public fundraiser is held in Poland and everywhere where there is an active Polish community. The public fundraiser is organised locally, by volunteer-run Collection Centres, and is accompanied by various events such as concerts, sporting competitions, and firework displays. Volunteers, carrying branded collection boxes collect money across the country, and people donating money receive distant red-heart stickers in return.

The money donated will help us fund numerous events, which we have planned for the fundraiser.

Thank You for your support.

Our community group is different, we don't do everything  just for our Polish community, but for everyone. Every year we organize multiple events where all of our communities come together to have fun, talk and celebrate.  We try to bring the communities together, so we get along with each other and understand one another.  We make a difference to the community by teaching our traditions.  Demonstrating how to live peacefully and happily together . This is how it all started.

In response to the growing Polish Community and difficulties faced by families and individuals, the Polish NI Community Network (PNICN) was set up in June 2009 by a number of like minded Polish citizens who as a result of their experience realised that there was an overwhelming need for a Polish run organisation to help meet the needs of the large influx of fellow Poles who had located themselves in the Craigavon area and throughout Northern Ireland.

Drawing from their own experiences of moving to N. Ireland from Poland, they were aware of the many issues which confront and challenge any incoming ethnic group to a new host country e.g. Health, Housing, Education and general sign posting information and support.

The aim of the Network has, and continues to be; the promotion of good relations, building cohesion and promoting integration of the Polish population who have decided to make N.Ireland their permanent home.
