I am passionate about promoting and providing Occupational Therapy in developing countries for low income families worldwide.
I am hoping to volunteer with young children in Indonesia in various settings and with various physical and mental conditions. I will work over the month of June 2018, utilising my skills learned so far in Occupational Therapy, problem solving, mental health , 'challenging behaviour',creativity and education. As well as this I would like to raise funds so that I can provide those in need with equipment donations which will enhance the learning for the children and promote a healthy lifestyle. I hope to donate creative equipment (such as clay, paintbrushes, arts & crafts materials etc.), 'Play' and 'Sensory' equipment (such as playdoh/toys, therapeutic lights etc), physical/movement aids (balance board,pencil grips, children's tunnels, pool noodles, physio balls and small chairs), and health and safety aids (gliding sheets, therabands, splinting materials etc.). I will highlight now that this list is not exhaustive and the required equipment needs will most likely be developed over the next few months!
You are not funding a holiday and you are not funding a flight ticket, let’s get that clear now! I could never live with myself if I asked for this and I’ll be paying that myself!
You would be donating to a cause that will provide equipment to assist the running of a children’s learning facility, any unexpected medical intervention (if required) whilst I am there, and anything left over I would ensure goes to one of these facilities in good faith and in keeping with my mission!
The rest of the stuff I will provide! Occupational Therapy (as far as I am trained), an addition to the workforce, a temporary extra member of staff, a friendly smile and lots of updates on my progress for those who support the cause.

There is so much hate in the world right now, and I would love to provide the planet with something worthy before I sign out! I know everyone is busy and this may not be a top priority, but any awareness I can spread in order to support this campaign is useful, so any shares or raising awareness of this cause is very much appreciated!
