The Gastlers Take On IVF
Donation protected
There will always be that question in the back of my mind, did we try hard enough? Did we give it our all?
Being foster parents is incredibly rewarding and we love all the support from family and friends. I hope one day we'll be in a position to adopt a child from the system and give them a new life.
On a last stitch effort, Devon & I will give having a biological baby one more try! So that I can experience the joy many of my friends and family have.
Countless doctor's said our only chance is through IVF (in vetro fertilization). After years of trying naturally with only angel babies to show for it (2.13.15// 5.26.15// 7.1.18) we decided we would listen to our doctors and go through the expensive procedure.
We hope that everyone will understand why we're doing this and support us, emotionally and financially.
The 2011 National Average cost of IVF began at $12,000 not including lab work, medications and observations, which could run upwards of $5,000. Not to mention the cost of travel expenses and lodging to the closest clinic, time off work, etc.
As anyone else, the last thing I want is, at the end of my life, wish I had done more. This is us, trying to start a family which we so deeply yearn for. So, this is me, doing the best I can.
