Help Keep the HSLC Adoption Center

The Humane Society of Livingston County has been around since 1987, but we have never had a permanent place to show our animals.  Now we do, but we need the help of our members and community to keep it.  We opened in August of this year, and through two generous donatons are paid up through the end of this year.  However, after that time we are unsure where the money will come from to stay at our current location.  This space has been a perfect fit for us; the location right on a main business street in Avon that sees a lot of traffic, enough room to set up a number of pens to house our kittens and cats and tables to display our literature and recruit new volunteers, members, and foster homes, and most importantly, to have a place where people can come and see and hold the animals in one location instead of having to go to different foster homes.  The tremendous difference this place has made for us is borne out by the number of adoptions we've had since being here (40), which is the most we've ever had in the same time period since we were formed.  There is such a problem with stray and unwanted cats in our county, and we work hard to change that, but we can't do it alone.  If you love animals, then please help us to help them.  On behalf of the animals we thank you!
