Temple Street Christmas Toy Appeal

Donation protected
For many people, Christmas is a magical time of the year - a time for giving and receiving gifts, for relaxing with friends and families and for indulging in temptations. But for others, Christmas can be a sad and difficult time because they simply do not have the means to bring Santa to their kids, or indeed, to put Christmas dinner on the table.

Some of you probably know that we lost our lovely daughter (and twin) Lizzie in 2001 when she was only 15 months old. What you might not know about is the tremendous support we received from the social workers in Temple Street Children's' Hospital.

Lizzie died in April 2001 and that Christmas, we wanted to do something in her honour as a small thank you for all of the support so we set up a toy appeal with the support of our colleagues in Sherry Fitz & Cush Wake, now in its 17th year. Each year, we deliver toys to the medical social workers in the hospital who then distribute them amongst disadvantaged families.

I am happy to shop on your behalf and if I could be so bold as to suggest a donation of €10 (or whatever you can spare!), this would make a significant difference to many families. I will be delivering all of the gifts to the Hospital on 17th December.

Your kindness would be much appreciated and could make some little person's Christmas.
