Team Lutz is Adopting!

Mike and I met the summer before our freshmen year in college at Bloomsburg University, PA in 2004.  We got our schedules for the fall semester and toured the campus with our parents.  I left that day thinking I had met a nice friend and even joked with friends that "Maybe I'll end  up with that Mike kid!"  When I arrived at Bloomsburg to start the semester, Mike was in my freshmen orientation group.  By the end of the first week, the rest was history!  We have been together ever since!  That was 13 years ago.

After enjoying being newlyweds, tackling grad school, and teaching kindergarteners and high schoolers, we decided it was time to grow our family.  Over four years of infertility procedures and taking out loans, Mike and I have put our faith, trust, and whole hearts into the adoption process to bring a baby into our lives.  Our journey has been physically and emotionally taxing, though we know that there is a special baby out there for us to love!

The average costs for adoption is $30-50K, depending on the adoption situation and medical care needed for the mother and baby.  Though Mike and I took out a loan for invitro fertilization and luckily have some of it left, we sadly do not have enough to fund an adoption on our own.  We have been lifted up by our friends and family, who have all come to our rescue, telling us that it takes a village and we will get it done!

Mike and I have always called ourselves "Team Lutz."  Together, I know we can get through anything, but we are realizing that our true team is our loved ones- friends, family, and dog lovers all over the world that love to share our story with us on Messi's Instagram @Messithelutzpup.  We would be forever grateful if you would help be a part of our team to bring Baby Lutz home- our missing piece!

To help us show Baby Lutz how many people care about him/her already,  we are doing a Puzzle Fundraiser, where Mike and I created a picture puzzle of us.  Each piece can be sponsored for $30 or more, where your name will be written on the back of the puzzle piece.  We will frame the puzzle in a double-sided frame and give it a special place in Baby Lutz's nursery.   By donating here on this page, we will write your name on one of the puzzle pieces.  Every penny will help, so please do not feel obligated if that is too much.
