We are running in the Griffin's Gift 5K again this year, and we've set a goal of $1,000.
Griffin's Gift is an organization that is very near and dear to our hearts. With out it we would not have our beautiful baby Elora.
Griffin's Gift is a 501c3 nonprofit organization helping to build families through the gift of adoption. They provide no interest loans and gifts to adoptive families. Griffin's Gift was created in loving memory of Griffin Lamar.
It was not an easy road that led our family to adoption, as is often the case. Once we found our adoption agency and finished our home study, we were so excited that we would finally be completing our family. Then the financial burden of adoption made it seem as though we were not as close to getting our baby as we thought. It was at this disheartening time that we learned about the Lamar family and sweet Griffin.
Griffin’s Gift enabled us to welcome our Elora into the family. As if an interest free loan were not enough of a miracle, being connected to such an amazing family as the Lamars has been an additional blessing.
We are privileged to be Elora’s parents and honored that Elora is the first Griffin's Gift baby. Words could never do justice to what the Lamars and Griffin’s Gift mean to our family.
Life is full of ups and downs. When you find friends to stand by you through both, then you have found someone truly special. That's who Colby and Alicia have been for us.
They are amazingly special friends, who have comforted us during our devastating moments in our adoption process, and have helped us celebrate one of the greatest moments of our lives, when we brought Elora home.
