Tau Kappa Epsilon Tub Push

Donation protected
Tub Push is an annual fundraising event put on by the Northern Michigan University chapter of Tau Kappa Epsilon. Members of the fraternity push a three-wheeled bathtub from Sault St. Marie, Michigan to Marquette, Michigan, a distance of approximately 165 miles. This event has been a tradition over the past 40 years with its objective of donating to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and a local non-profit organization in the Marquette community. The mission of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is to advance cures, and means of prevention, for pediatric catastrophic diseases through research and treatment. Consistent with the vision of their founder Danny Thomas, no child is denied treatment based on race, religion or a family's ability to pay. This year our local-nonprofit organization is Room at the Inn, the primary warming and homeless shelter in Marquette. Room at the Inn, operated by 10 local churches, provides free meals and a warm place to sleep. More than 120,000 meals have been provided to disadvantaged people in the Marquette community thanks to the continuing efforts of Room at the Inn and its volunteers. The Northern Michigan University chapter of Tau Kappa Epsilon is honored to have the opportunity to fundraise for both of these incredible organizations. On behalf of the members of our chapter, we thank you for considering our fundraiser and hope you will join us in supporting St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and Room at the Inn.
