Tartan Week

We are a small independent group made up of SeeMore Productions and Tartan Week Student Collaboration. Our task will be no mean fete but with your help it is achievable.
We choose to take our Glasgow based play Lizzie to New York's Tartan week because we want to connect with Scottish ex-patriots who we believe will be the bulk of our audience.
Our goal is to create a lasting link and route for actors at various levels of their career. In the future we hope it will become a two way street and that small independents  can bring their work to Scotland.
Funds will be used for flights for thirteen members of cast and crew. If we do not achieve our funding target we will use what we have  to tour our play in outlying areas in Scotland.
  We have a theatre on hold and donated accommodation  wish we will be sharing.
Our intentions is to have a mixture of the original cast and audition for the rest from student bodies. Most of our talent will come from areas such as Paisley, Arden, Spittle and other areas were an opportunity such as these are rare. The funds will be needed by January to allow time for booking flights.
Your support would be invaluable. It will provide a launch pad to which both SeeMore Productions and the Tartan Week Student Collaboration teams are fully committed to. To bring raw talent to the heart  of the creative environment of New York. It will give us a basis to work on for future ventures. Get to know our team.

Kristhessa Ross.

Kristhessa is your typical ‘pursuing her childhood dream’ individual. She had a career in Nursing back when she lived in America but her path led her to Scotland and is now actively studying Theatre.
She’s has a few performances up her sleeve but has enjoyed every moment of learning and being on stage. Kristhessa auditioned for and won the lead role of Lady Celia Cain in Her Naked Skin by Rebecca Lenkiewicz. After her polished performance she was asked to take part in a short film were she played the part of a bolshy journalist " Cara" in Quality Matter.  
"When she’s not being dramatic", Kristhessa enjoys the outdoors via cycling and hill-walking. She is also a mom to two rapidly growing saplings.

Megan Gillon.

Megan is an enthusiastic drama student.  After auditioning for a role in Her Naked Skin she was offered the part of Eve were she excelled in her performance. She has always had a love for acting but only ever considered it as a dream rather than a reality. Now due to her studying theatre and working hard along with being involved in this project her dreams are coming true. She loves performing and constantly improving her skills. When Megan is not studying, she works part time in a soft furnishings shop and enjoys spending time with family and friends.

Elizabeth Rodgers

Elizabeth was asked by Seemore productions."to make  props for a play and this started her on her journey to acting. She would fill in for any actor that could not make rehearsals and loved playing a range of parts. It soon became apparent to Seemore that Elizabeth was a talented member of the team. She got up the courage to audition for a part in" The waiting room "  and was given the chance to perform. This fired up a passion for acting and a being part of a wonderful team which led to other parts in both plays and film. Elizabeth went on to  win parts in Noose, Strangers,Quality Matter and Under The Light . In wanting to perfect the craft she enrolled in the West College Scotland Paisley were she met like minded people with so much talent and dedication. As a result she come together to form a collaboration of talent and together they aim to go to new heights and dreams of taking others on the journey with the Collaboration Team. Exciting times ahead.
