All Together Now---LIFT!!

Robert Jackson, a decorated US Marine vet, bought an abandoned commercial building in Harrisburg, PA. He renovated it into an 18 room residence for homeless veterans.  It is a 3-story building.  The building had a decrepit freight elevator in it.  He has been seeking financial assistance (grants, contributions, donations, et. al.) to replace it with a functioning elevator so that wheelchair bound and other handicapped residents can move throughout the center more freely... all three floors.  His facility can be viewed online at www.robertmjacksonveteranscenter.org He is doing wonderful work with skills development, job training and more for the residents and some non-resident veterans as well.  He used his own savings to purchase the building and most of the renovations.  It would be nice to help him get the elevator in place. The funds sought via this campaign are needed to construct the interior of the elevator shaft before the elevator company can install the custom made elevator.  Some funds for the project (which was estimated at approximately $50,000.00) were provided via grants.  The granting agency required that the Center itself cover a portion of the costs, which amounts to $10,000.00
Every little bit helps.  Thanks.
