Support Northern Colorado Police

At just 24 years old, Katrina is making a huge impact on the community that she recently moved to. Katrina’s step-dad is a police officer in Seattle, WA and before making the move to Colorado, she and her 4 year old son, Korben, would bake cookies and make treats to take to the station where he works. After moving, they wanted to contribute to Police Officers in the same way that had back home. Recent events and certain occurrences that our local law enforcement has dealt with made Katrina realize that they need her support now more than ever. On a quiet Labor Day weekend, Katrina set off to gather a few items to take to the local Police Stations in Northern Colorado. She posted her goals and ideas on different local Facebook sites and the response of community members wanting to help was enormous. Katrina scheduled at time to meet several people at Walmart and together they shopped and purchased items to fill baskets to be delivered to our local heroes. The Police Officers at Loveland PD, Greeley PD, and Fort Collins PD were overjoyed when they received the baskets full of some of their favorite snacks. The next deliveries are scheduled for October 16, 2015 with the support of Deputy Justin Atwood, Larimer County Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 4. Katrina will be delivering baskets to Weld County PD, Larimer County Sheriffs Department, and the Colorado State Patrol in Fort Collins. She has set up a Registry on Walmart.com so that items can be shipped directly to the drop off location. There is also a Facebook page, Support your Police Officers, where information can be found about donating supplies.

Katrina works at Goings Orthodontics in Fort Collins and they have opened their doors to be a safe drop off location for community members that would like to contribute to this wonderful cause. Goings Orthodontics is open Monday-Thursday 8am-5pm and Fridays 8am-4pm and located at:
