Nepal - Rebuilding Family Homes

Having just completed our Everest Base Camp trek the day before the tragic earthquake struck has moved us to support our friend and Nepalise guide, Santosh, to be able to rebuild his home.
We witnessed some of the devastation first hand and so we have some understanding of what he's up against in terms of rebuilding.
Nepalise people require help.
Without Santosh's help we never would have made it to Everest Base Camp. He started off as our guide for the trek, but in the end became a good and trusted friend. We now know much of his village has been destroyed, and his family has nothing left.
If you've not had the experience of meeting someone you just instantly connected with, it may seem strange to you that we're all so willing to take action. It doesn't feel strange to any of us though - we're just looking to lend a hand to a great mate.
Santosh is a husband and a father to a little girl and currently they don't even have the luxury of a tent, they're sleeping outside with a tarp over their heads to keep the rain out and offer a bit of shade from the heat of the sun during the day.
There are thousands of examples just like Santosh that we would love to help and we know we can help at least one family today. The cost of rebuilding their homes is estimated (by Santosh) to be US $5,000 per house.
As of the sensis in 1991 (most recent we can find) there were just over 700 homes in this village. We're not certain at this stage how many of those homes are left.
Mike, Katie and Myself will work directly with Santosh to ensure that he is empowered to be able to swiftly rebuild his home. All funds will go directly towards the cost of the build.
