Care packages for Deployed Military

Hello!  My name is Dianne, and my youngest son (20 years old) is a United States Marine who is currently deployed.  We have always been a very Patriotic family but as you can imagine, having a child in the Military I now pretty much eat, sleep and breathe Patriotism.  I am always trying to give back and finding ways to let our troops know that I understand their sacrifices and those of their families and that FREEDOM ISN'T FREE.  With the Holidays approaching I am working with a group of Military Mom's with a  goal of sending at least 2,000 care packages to our troops overseas.  Hoping to send them a little holiday cheer and let them know they are in our thoughts and prayers always.  Each of us that is involved in this huge project is funding the care packages out of our own pockets and as I am sure you can imagine the costs add up quickly.  Currently I have enough supplies to send about 40 care packages to our troops (everything from deodorant to granola bars to playing cards to oatmeal to little decorated Christmas trees and everything in between!)  Each of these packages cost approximately $20.00 to ship through the Post Office.  I debated long and hard about setting up a Go Fund Me page but came to the realization that there is no way that my family can personally fund sending all of these care packages and my only option was to reach out to my community.  My hope is that I can raise enough to send all of the care packages I am putting together and in the awesome chance that I raise more, then those funds will be used to create more care packages.  Anyone with a business or who works for a company who you think might be willing to donate please let me know, I will happily reach out to them.  I believe in my heart that WE can make this happen, I just need a little help from my friends!  Thank you so much for taking the time to read my story and God Bless!
