What Is SSA Con?
"Every year at the SSA Annual Conference, hundreds of secular students and community leaders gather to share ideas and learn from each other. Unlike many conferences in the secular movement, SSA Con’s primary goal is to train student leaders and activists from across the United States in grassroots organizing and leadership skills. There are several key ways we make this possible.
Many of our talks focus on effective activism and group running skills, ensuring attendees have usable knowledge to take back to their campuses!
Throughout the weekend, students have the opportunity to network, exchange ideas and best practices, and form lasting relationships with other student activists, SSA staff, and movement leaders!"

SSA Con 2015
The conference is July 10-12, in Columbus, OH.
As the new president of the Secular Student Alliance for the 2015-2016 school year at ASU, I feel that I could gain valuable knowledge and skills to run my group that I cannot get elsewhere. Unfortunately, the conference is about 1900 miles away.
Airline tickets are at about $450 right now (before taxes) roundtrip from Phoenix. If I can afford to go, I'll be staying in Ohio State's dorms for a discounted rate.
ANY help is huge and goes directly to sending me to the conference. I cannot afford it on my own.
