Kari Keenan needs our help!
During the past several months, our good friend, Kari Keenan, has endured more stress, sorrow and loss than most people could handle in a lifetime. It began in the Fall with her son Matthew’s spinal surgeries and life threatening infections, and was tragically followed by the sudden and unexpected passing of her husband, Jack, from aggressive stage 4 cancer on January 14, 2016.
Matthew, who has cerebral palsy, is 100% dependent on his mother for his care. His needs are numerous and his part-time school schedule restricts her availability to work outside of the home. While she is hoping to resume part-time employment in the future, this will not be enough to cover household expenses. With Jack’s income lost, Kari is struggling to play the bills and maintain the home. This has put a financial strain on the family and household.
We have started this campaign with the hope that we can raise funds to help Kari pay her mortgage for the next 6 months. Kari needs our support, now more than ever. We are counting on the generosity of family and friends. Let’s take some of the worry and stress away from Kari, so her family can begin to heal.
