S.P.U.Y.G

(S.P.U.Y.G) South Philly Urban Youth Group is a organization geared to urban youth girls in connecting them with other urban youth girls through out the city of Philadelphia teaching them the fundamentals of basketball, social development, and sportsmanship. I became a middle school girls basketball coach in 2012, and I seen It was a need for girls to be able to learn the fundamentals of basketball in a healthy learning environment geared towards them. There aren't any programs for all girls in my city that does such, and we wanted to be the first that's does provide this type of program.
