Join your fellow landlords to fight the City of Pittsburgh and overturn the Pittsburgh Residential Landlord Registration Ordinance.

We have voiced our opinions, hundreds of us have personally spoken at City Council meetings.  We have explained our position to the city.

We have tried all of the logical arguments.

We have explained that this ordinance will harm the poorest residents of the City.

We have explained that this ordinance is going to lessen the amount of investment in the city.  This will lead to more blight as investors look to adjacent communities to invest in.

We have talked till we are blue in the face.

It is obvious that the voice of the tax paying citizens on the city is not being heard.

We have stated clearly that it is unfair to subject landlords to unfounded inspections, and we have warned that the inspections do not serve their stated purpose.   We believe that this bill is nothing but a hammer to beat money out of investors in order to fill the city treasury.

So now it is time to fight.  We believe that this bill will be struck down in court just like similar bills across PA and in other states.

We are prepared to fight this all the way to the Pennsylvania Supreme Court. Our goal is to make this foolishness go away once and for all.

So we will be supporting the Landlord Service Bureau and their legal efforts to destroy this piece of legislation.

We are counting on you to help us in this fight.

This bill doesn’t just affect landlords, or even tenants for that matter, it affects every resident of the City of Pittsburgh and surround areas.  If this bill is left in place investment dollars will flee the city and blight will take over where renovation once happened.

So we ask you to do two things.  We ask you to share this page with every freedom minded individual that you know, and we ask you to contribute whatever you can afford.  We are all in this fight together.

Sincerely

Josh Caldwell

President of the Pittsburgh Real Estate Investors Association.
