Support for Summer & Savannah

$67,374 of $100,000 goal

Raised by 1,537 people in 37 months

Throughout the day and night of December 2nd, we prayed, hoped, and pleaded with God to somehow spare the life of the remarkable Robert Adams; however, during the senseless mass shooting in San Bernardino, we lost Robert.

All day we waited for news that he was safely coming home to his beautiful wife Summer and his absolutely precious daughter, Savannah. It is now confirmed this will not be happening. While we mourn the great loss that Robert and at least 13 other families face this morning, we can do our small part to help bring some comfort to his family. We will continue sending our prayers and thoughts to them but we will also show our grieving through action. This fund has been set up to help with the needs of Summer and Savannah in the following days, weeks, and months of life without their cherished Robert.

We are a group of her momma friends, all bonded by a birth month, who don’t know what else to do. So this is how we make sense of what makes NO sense. We give and we let her and Savannah know that as difficult as it will be, they will never walk alone. Your generous contribution to helping Summer during this difficult time would be greatly appreciated.

Please share this page on every social media network you have and always keep Robert, Summer, and Savannah in your thoughts. #prayersforSB #prayforSanBernardino

It has been over 2 weeks since Robert Adams was tragically killed in the San Bernardino attacks. Today, Summer and Savannah will lay him to rest. This has been a long and hard journey for our friend. We ask that you continue to keep her in your thoughts and prayers.

Thank you to everyone who has shared a story about Robert or showed their support through a generous donation. Your words and love mean so much to Summer during this challenging time. May Robert rest in peace and may he always watch over Savannah and Summer.

It has been a week since Robert Adams and 13 others were tragically taken from this world . Despite all the heartache and questioning of why this would happen, our A14 mom group has been grateful for fellow mom groups rallying around Summer and Savannah (let's fight for each other and not against each other as moms), the Eve gaming community for supporting one of their brothers who clearly touched their hearts (as promised, you are turning out big for the family...Thank you!), and for people worldwide who have contributed to this fund. Your comments, stories, and kind words are filling Summer's heart. It has been heartwarming to see the outpouring of love for the Adams family during this challenging time. Please keep Robert, Summer, Savannah, their families and friends, and all who were blessed by his presence as they reflect on this past week. Our thoughts remain with the other victims of this senseless tragedy.

Today is Summer's birthday. It is the first birthday she has celebrated without Robert since she was a teenager. Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers today and in the years ahead.

Summer - We wish you a birthday filled with happy memories of the love of your life. Enjoy that sweet girl of yours today. She is such a fantastic gift and constant reminder of Robert's greatness. We love you.

- Your A14 Mamas

On behalf of the April 2014 mom group Summer is a member of, we have to sincerely thank everyone for your generosity and support. We are so appreciative of your contributions to the family to support Savannah and Summer during this tragic time.

Many people have inquired about whether Summer is aware of the fund and/or if she has access to the finances. Below is confirmation from GoFundMe and Summer verifying that she has accepted control over the funds. I hope this answers any questions or concerns you may have.

Please continue to share this page with your social media networks and keep Summer and Savannah in your thoughts and prayers.

I have know Robert for many years. We played games and would call each other about whatever was going on in the political landscape of America. He was like a brother of mine. Over the last month or so we had not talked nonstop as per usual. He messaged me Saturday and said he missed me in a non homo way and we laughed. I know what he ment. We always talked about life as we played video games together. I had taken a break from Eve Online about 2 months ago after 11 years of nonstop gaming. We still chatted but just not the 5 to 8 hour nonstop . He was truly one of the best friends I have ever had. In life you get to know that 1 person that you just say everything to. They know every single detail and you know all theirs and it is that brotherly kind of convos. What I know of ROB is plenty but over all his Greatest themes were he loved his Wife endlessly in the good and the bad. He was 100% lost in Daddy land with Savannah. He was a excited and Happy Father. He loved his parents. He loved his mothers spaghetti sauce as she cooked it on simmer heat for many many hours just adding water. Him being a health inspector he said his moms cooking was up to code. Which cracked me up. He loved his brother dearly and many times we had heart felt conversations about our family members. He was a good man. A man who believed that anyone in America deserved opportunity. What they do with that opportunity was up to them. Monday we only exchanged a few words about some political stuff. I am in true shock. I do hope this helps him and his wife. They were the light of his world. He was just your normal guy. Work and family and that one day idea of moving out of California to the east coast. It is truly a great loss to the world. RIP old friend. " May the wind always be at your back and the sun upon your face. And may the wings of destiny carry you aloft to dance with the stars. " Catch you on the flip side. Save me a seat at the buffet table. - Shawn Brady ( Fiberton )

I am part of a group of moms that support other moms in need. We call ourselves the Lil Mamas. One of our members lost her husband, Michael Wentzel, in this horrible shooting. We are the ones that organized an online fundraiser for his 6 children. And, now that we've meet & exceeded goals for that, we thought we would help some of the other mamas struggling through this senseless tragedy. My heart is breaking for you. #mamafamilyforever

I wish so much that I could afford to donate to this site as well as the others that have been set up. San Bernardino is my home, altho I moved away 20 years ago. My grown daughter had surgery in September and is not healing properly, so has missed a great deal of work. I had shoulder surgery 2 weeks later and am still off work. Consequently, I am trying to support both households and just don't have it. I can, however, offer my prayers for comfort and strength in the coming hours, days, week, months. God Bless you!

I wanted to share this story from the manager of Las Fuentes, who remarked on how kind Robert was: "Robert Adams was the guy that inspected us the day the sewage system backed up in the whole complex and he had to shut us down! He was so nice, he stood by our front door to assure people that the reason he had to close the restaurant was for technical problems. He would identify himself as a health department inspector and then tell people las Fuentes was his favorite restaurant." Wow, he really went above and beyond to make sure that the restaurant didn't lose business or reputation. I think that illustrates what a wonderful person he was. Not many people will go that extra mile to be kind.

I new Robert, or Photon Torpedo, from the game Eve online. I have been flying with him for almost 7 years now will miss him deeply. Robert was the definition of a stand up guy. One of the most respectful, kind, and caring individuals I have every met. I started playing the game as a young teenager when I met Robert. He was a huge influence in my younger years and taught me a lot about the game and life in general. I will miss all those late night debates we had. My heart goes out to his wife and daughter. Robert will be missed, and the entire EvE online community is grieving. Fly safe in the heavens Robert o7.

For 5 years Robert has been a friend. It is said and surreal to think this has happened. Never did I expect such a thing to happen to him. He will be truly missed. My fellow brothers in Eve are all shock, sad, and angry this happened to him. He was a such a kind man and did not deserve this. He enjoyed his job as it was helping others protect themselves from harmful food and environments. To think someone who work for others would have this happen to him. I want to thank the hundreds of people who supported in this last 24 hours and didn't even know the man. Many of you are from Eve, and while our community treats each other poorly inside the game, it nearly made me cry to see all of you donating to support his family.

I had Robert as my plan checker when opening up my restaurant in Colton this July. At all times I would tell him "You are the boss!" he would always say,"No Israel, you are!" He was very proffessional, happy...we talked alot of personal stuff. How he went to school 8 years and also shared with me about how happy he was with his new born baby. He was an exelent person, funny, smart, hard working...I still cant believe this happened, my condolences to his family. Lets spread the word for his loved ones.
