Hamilton's Butterfly For the Birds

Donation protected
Hamilton born Robin Lajoie (age 60) is an endurance runner and triathelete who has accepted the challenge to swim around Pelee Island on August 5, 2015...all 55km...for the birds!

Pelee Island's Bird Sanctuary (PIBO) is an NGO devoted to the study and conservation of wild birds, species at risk,  and their habitats.

Robin says, "Swimming around Pelee Island is similar to swimming across Lake Ontario - except it's warmer!"

Homegrown Hamilton is on board, sponsoring the cost of the Canadian Coast Guard's safety rules for Robin's swim that begins at Point Pelee, will circle Pelee Island from west to east and then return to Point Pelee escorted by the vessel Leech Licker with guide Greg Horoky monitoring VHF channel 16.

To offset these costs and help pay for Robin's travel expenses (and maybe a beer afterwards) we are asking for your help. There are a few ways to get involved:

Hit the donate button! It's for a great cause, Robin is a brave soul, and, well...beer.

Come to Homegrown Hamilton  and buy a beer! For every Beau's MaddAddamites NooBroo  sold Beau's is donating .24to PIBO!
