Sweet Baby Lauren

Kyle & Elsie Blom welcomed their beautiful baby girl, Lauren Beverly Blom, on April 2nd 2019. Lauren was born at 27 weeks gestation and is currently in the NICU at Avera McKennan. Elsie was in the hospital for 2 weeks due to her transplanted kidney being stressed from the pregnancy and then another week after delivering Lauren to allow her kidney function to get back closer to normal and recuperate from the C-section.
Lauren is doing well so far but has a long road ahead of her, she will be in the NICU until at least June 30th, which was her original due date. Kyle and Elsie are currently staying at the hospital with Lauren. While Kyle hopes to return to work in the next couple of weeks, Elsie will remain in Sioux Falls until Lauren is discharged and then will spend maternity leave with Lauren at home until August.
Kyle and Elsie knew there was possibility of an early delivery, but no one was really expecting it to happen this soon, so this go fund me page was started to help Kyle and Elsie through this challenging time and make this journey a little easier for them. Any donations will be used to help them pay for medical expenses for Lauren as well as lodging and food while they stay close to their amazing little girl.
I would personally like to thank everyone who has called and sent messages offering well wishes, encouragement and prayers to Kyle and Elise. Words can’t express how grateful they are to have so many amazing people in their lives.
