SVDP Holiday Adopt a Backpack Drive
to benefit: St. Vincent de Paul Meal Program
We supply the backpack, YOU fill it with the necessities for a person in need!
Be an Angel to someone in need this holiday season, you can help warm a body & a heart!
From now until Dec. 22nd, 2016, adopt ONE or more of our 200 backpacks. Your donation of $15 per backpack helps us make the holidays brighter for our homeless guests.
Your $15 donation helps us fill a backpack with:
*Socks *Hand Warmers *Gloves *Flashlight *Hats *First Aid Kits *Matches *Foot Powder *Batteries *Body Wipes *Blankets *Garbage Bags *Ponchos *Travel Size Hygiene Items *Candles *Non-perishable Snacks (Beef Jerky, protein bars, water flavor packets, chips, Little Debbie Snacks, Peanut Butter or chesse crackers, little boxes of cereal, etc. )
**We will fill childrens back packs with coloring books, crayons or a Christmas DVD or a Christmas book & through your generousity hopefully a pair of Christmas Pajamas!
We will distribute filled backpacks to homeless adult men, women & children and disadvantaged men, women & children (families) on Christmas Eve & Christmas Day 2016 at our meal sites in Milwaukee, WI.
