Forbes Family Lost Home in Fire

$56,938 of $100,000 goal

Raised by 362 people in 20 months
Absolute Volleyball Club (San Rafael, CA) is looking for help from our community for our dear friend and close member of our volleyball family, Coach Susan Forbes, her husband Joe, and their 3 young sons - 6 years old and younger.  Although we are especially grateful they are safe, we were devastated to learn that they lost their home in the fires currently taking place in Santa Rosa where they live.  They evacuated their home in the middle of the night, only to have to wait to find out that their home was later destroyed.

Susan has helped with coaching at our club, as well as taking care of the College Recruiting Process for our older girls.  She is a University of Pacific Alumni - and was a standout player for their women's volleyball program.  She has coached at NorCal Volleyball Club as well as with our program - developing our Recruiting Coordinator position to help our young athletes find their place at the collegiate level.

We are devasted for her, and want to do what we can to extend our help to her and her beautiful family during this time.  Although we cannot replace the "things" laden with priceless memories, we want to raise funds to assist Susan and Joe - and those three precious boys - to get back on their feet.

If you have a little extra, (anything helps!), please donate on their behalf.   We appreciate your assistance and caring for someone who has done so much for our volleyball community.

And just to reaffirm why we want to help Susan... her post to Facebook just solidifies why she and her family deserve anything we call can give....

Today we lost our home. We were blessed to be a part of the #coffeypark community for 3.5 years. Amazing families here in these homes you guys. Amazing.
---
We made it out with what matters most--- our 3 MOST precious blessings. And for those of you who have been worried, yes we grabbed #T1D supplies, and should be ok there for a bit.
---
And ya know what we are realizing? We were incredibly blessed today, blessed by each of you. Although we haven't been able to reply to each comment, and each offer, or text or love felt message, they are heard. And we are so grateful. And we feel blessed to have all of you. So many of you. Thank you ❤️
---
We are going to bed without our 'things' but will hearts filled full.
