Justin DeChantal was killed in a car accident early on Saturday, April 4, 2015. Sheila, his mother, writes the blog Book Journey  and is a dynamic, encouraging, supportive member of the book blogging community.

The family is, of course, devastated by the loss of Justin, and her fellow book bloggers want to make sure Sheila knows how much we care about her and that we stand in support of her family.

As Sheila is an active member of her local library and a fellow blogger, we wanted to focus our support in that direction. Specifically, we can finance a bench outside the library in Justin's memory, something we hope will come to be a source of comfort for Sheila and those who knew Justin. According to Brainerd Public Library, this is an ongoing library project near and dear to Sheila's heart. Any funds over the price of the bench will go to the library in Justin's name.

Thank you for joining in and sending a virtual hug to Sheila, wherever you may be.

We hit our goal and then some! With your help, we will be able to fully fund a bench at Brainerd Public Library in Justin's memory. We will also be able to donate a substantial sum (approximately $1,000 after gofundme fees) to the library in Justin's name. Thank you, thank you! We will leave the campaign up so that Sheila, if she ever wants, can see the love she inspired in our bookish community. You are incredible, as is Sheila.
