Black Lives Matter of Greater Burlington needs help sending an organizer to school!
BLMGB is sending a couple organizers out of state on July 29th, to attend a three-week political education school. This is an opportunity to deepen and strengthen the
transformative resistance work BLMGB hopes to bring to Vermonters, in order to become a place where Black people thrive bodily, socially, and economically.
Three-weeks is a long time to take off from work. We need to raise $2,000 to cover travel expenses and the lost-income of one of our traveling organizers. Without this coverage they cannot attend the trip.

On this trip, topics to be discussed include: capitalism, imperialism, the intersections of race, class, and gender, the roles of media and culture in the struggle for liberation, the history of poor people’s resistance to oppression around the world, and much more.
Why do we study?
Solidarity is not just a feeling. We must strategize with and be held together by a shared political analysis. In addition to internal study groups, BLMGB is connecting to other communities of struggle and activism over dinner, in the streets, and through education opportunities such as this.
