Rally for Gun Violence Prevention

My names Devesh Pathak and I am one of the co-founders of Lexington says #Enough  which is a Lexington, MA based organization that strives to raise public awareness and focus media attention on the message of the student-led movement against gun violence and keep gun safety front and center. We are comprised of student activists, siblings, parents, educational professionals, elected officials, faith and community leaders, and adult allies regardless of political affiliation, gender, age, race and sexual orientation.

We are organizing a rally on Lexington Battle Green on Sunday, June 10 from 1 - 2 pm. The objective of the rally is to raise awareness and take action for gun violence prevention.

We need donations to fund various expenses related to the rally. Examples are below:
- Lexington police details (4 officers),
- DPW costs - podium, tables, set up and clan-up,
- Buttons and pins
- Supplies for different tables - table cover, poster boards, banners etc.
- Upcoming summer and Fall expenses

Since February, we have organized marches to Boston/DC, three school walkouts: one a piece at LHS and the two middle schools. Since then, there have been more shootings, and we want to continue taking action. We hosted a candlelight vigil, visited the State House, Senator Markey’s office, and formed a team to join in the Mother’s Day Peace Walk. We intend to keep organizing.
