We all know that our first responders are some of the most valued assets we have in our Hall County community. The first responders that serve us day and night, holidays, and weekends when most of us are enjoying the safe lives and community that they afford us. Our first Responders who have served our community for 25- 30 years lost their rights to the pension promised by the Hall County Commission when they first began their careers.The county has denied the request of these first reponders reenstatement of their pension. Please remember that this pension was promised to them when they first began serving our community. I am sure you are thinking how could something like this really happen, well it all starts with the commissioners.
These servants of our community are having to fight the Commisson and Court for their pensions. What a sad day it has become that our very own are having to raise funds for attorney fees, court cost, and materials to support their cause. We all know that they are paid less than moderate salaries for the jobs they do protecting, rescuing, and serving our citizens.
How could they even begin to fight for what they so valitantly serve? It is going to take the support of citizens like you to help. Meanwhile the County has the money of their tax payers at their disposal. They have already hired some of the most expensive law firms from Atlanta on the taxpayers dime. It is with your kind donation that these First Responders are going to be able to fight the injustice they are being served. Every dollar counts. Please consider donating to the ones that are protecting you and responding to your calls in the middle of the night for help.
Consider this ... if you called your commissioner in the middle of the night for help, would they respond? I know your answer. That is why it is so important that we help these ladies and gentlemen that have served our community for more than two decades. Most people forget at the end of the day, that they have families that are praying for them to come home safe. These servants need and should have a retirement supported by their pension that is deserving for the most grand of people.... for they have given selflessly for a very long time to our community and have never asked for anything.
