My name is Eshetu Abebe. I live in Sacramento, California. Guraghe Media Network (GMN ) is a newly establishing media organization based in Ethiopia. I’m raising money to support the establishment of Guraghe Media Network(GMN).
I’m one of the organizing committee member of Guraghe Media Network (GMN) here in the USA, and I’m assigned by the other committee members to organize and collect funds from GoFundme fundraiser. All the money will be send or transfer into the bank account of Guraghe Media Network (GMN) which is already opened at NIB International Bank in Ethiopia.
As we all know media play's a pivotal role in bringing the society together, creating awareness and mass communication. Media is important to educate, inform and entertain the targeted people in a society. Media is important to disseminate information and knowledge to the community. Media is also important to organize the opinion the people. These are the importance of Media to least a few.
There are more than 85 different ethnic groups and spoken languages in Ethiopia. Guraghe is one of those ethnicity which comprises of different ethnic groups together who speaks different dialects. Almost there is no media outlet's for the guraghe people that transmit in their language. We agreed the importance of establishing a new media that can educate, entertain and inform the society. There is nothing like media to reach the targeted group in the technological era.
I hope you will share our concerns and participate on the establishment of the first ever Guraghe Media. Media may be established by a certain group, but it's purpose is serving for all. Our mission is nothing short of that. There is no boundary in educating, entertaining and informing the society. The society covers all Ethiopians regardless of the background. All Ethiopians are invited to be part of this historical moment. We are challenging everyone to handover his/her share. Every donations and supports counts and enable us to realize our mission.
