Support for survivors to heal and be heard

Survivor Support Anonymous provides a 12 step peer led support group for Survivors of Abuse to heal and recover from their Trauma. Unfortunately, we have no funding and are only currently open in Limerick. I’d like to raise funds to advertise the service to get the word out there that help is available. I would also like to spread the service to other areas and counties. I cannot do that without the help of others.
All people working in SSA do so as volunteers, we are not paid employees , we just try provide a safe, non triggering place to take the loneliness out of the process and heal using the 12 steps to recovery.

Please show your compassion and support to survivors by giving what you can , every €5 helps! There isn’t enough support out there and I cannot support all the people that have come looking for support on an individual basis. Opening these groups are the only way I can try show the hope in recovery to others that have had the traumas and dark times that I have experienced.
We would also like to work on ensuring change happens in the current legal system with how survivors are treated, we want more education to dispel the rape and domestic abuse myths, we call for an advocate for children so their voices can be heard by a safe organisation and we ask for better Gardai training for survivors. We start by coming together within our groups as it is hard for any of us to make a lasting difference individually.
We are also hoping to get registered and recognized as a charity this year so we can apply for funding to improve the difference we can make
