Support for Modou and his family

Dear reader, First of all I want to thank you for taking time to read these words! I also want to introduce myself to you: I am David, from Germany, Ulm, and the goal for my life is to praise Jesus Christ with everything I do. About 2 years ago, I got a message on Instagram from a Gambian boy who was asking me for money so he can buy food for his family. I really thought about that, but my final decision was to not send him money because it could be a trap. He kept asking and I kept declining. But in my head I start wondering: What if he really needs this money, what if he's really starving? So I asked for proof, that he really is in that needy situation. He sent me pictures, clips and he even tried to call me. Now I was sure about him saying the truth but I still didn't want to spend money, because something in me stopped me from doing this. I wanted to keep my money. So I just went on living, ignoring the fact that I could help him. Then, God gave me a thought in my head: "How much money did you spend on that PS4, how much money do you spend for clothing, how much money do you spend on things you don't really need but want to have? It's a whole lot! But you're still not ready to help a starving family in Gambia what doesn't cost me much." After a certain amount of struggling, I decided to donate some money. And it was such a beautiful thing to see him walking through the market to buy food with a  big smile on his face (he sent me pictures). Thank God! I don't want to force you to donate money, not at all! I'm rather happy that you're still reading! I just want you to think about what I wrote till now... and after you've done that, go on reading the story of the Gambian boy (I reworded it sometimes to make it easier to read): "Hello to my Brothers and Sisters in Christ ✌ Greetings from the Gambia in West Africa..My name is Modou from Gambia, I'm living with my mother, younger brother and sisters the best life God has given us faithfully. I lost my Dad some years ago as he was a fisherman. On a fine day when he went for fishing he didn't come back. We started worrying and went to the river looking after him, but he was not there. On the next day, his dead body was found on the other side of the river. Now he is with the Lord in heaven! Because we lost him life became hard for my mum, my siblings and me, especially food which is a daily need in life as one can not live or do something correctly without food. It's very hard for me to see my siblings not being able to sleep because of their empty bellies. I was a student before but left school since I left my Dad as he was supporting our schooling with the little he earned. Without the money we weren't able to pay the school fees. I was left with only a year to complete my educational career so that I can get good certificates. These help me to get a good job to support my family and myself with the needs in life. I used to go to the Bush before to fetch firewood and sell it to buy some cups of rice for my family. But later on, the Government mad an announcement that anyone caught cutting down trees or hunting wild animals will be jailed including hard labor. So my mum told me to stop going to the bush before they jail me because they don't want to lose me now as I am the breath winner of the family. But we still thank God for giving us another day in life, with or without food and keep the faith, because he has everything in control! Me and my family are hereby pleading to all brothers and sisters in Christ for your kind helping hands to live a better life with sufficient daily needs and good education with the help of the Lord Jesus Christ. Warm Greetings Modou" My experience with Modou: He is doing everything for his family and is giving his best as good as he can. He was already provided with money to pay the school fees for one year, he is in school now. This money will be used by Moudos mother to start a little family business so they get independent from donations and can provide the daily needs theirselves. After Moudos schooled year, he will also start finding a job to provide money for the family and especially for the education of his siblings. I really have hope in this fundraising, because the family has a plan how they can get independent from donations, and that is an awesome goal. Thank you very much for reading! Now it's your choice if you want to support them or not. Either way, be blessed in Jesus name! PS: If you want to contact Moudo:          His instagram name: bobjawneh21
