My husband and longtime dance partner, Carlos Guerra, and I invite you to support our new venture as co-founders and Artsistc director of our newly founded ballet company, Dimensions Dance Theatre of Miami . Our mutual desire to continuinue contributing to the expansion of the arts in South Florida beyond our illustrious performing careers as former Principal Dancers with Miami City Ballet led us to create DDTM. We felt tremendously compelled to offer fresh opportunity for others, and give back in a new way to the community that has supported and provided us so much for so many years.

is our personal tribute to Miami, and thus, especially unique in its diversity, and its poignant reflection of the rich Cuban culture so prominent in South Florida. Our goal is to bring world class dancers and choreography to the stage in collaboration with local artists of varying genres. We are striving to create uniquely rich, culturally balanced, and artistically diverse ballet "experiences" that are affordable for, and accessible to the general public.
Our Inaugural performance, "Between Havana & Heaven" will feature four works distinctly varied in both style and music. Funds raised here will help us achieve the following goals -
1) present live musical accompaniment for select ballets on the program - an undeniable experience enhancer for both the public and the artists -
- "Alain Garcia and the Latin Power" band to play onstage in accompaniment of Septime Webre's acclaimed ballet "Juanita y Alicia"
- Marcel Guerra (pianist) to play Ernesto Lecuona's composition for Yanis Pikieris' "Ante El Escorial"
2) raise the required cash match for the proposed grant amount awarded to us by Miami Dade County and the Dept. of Cultural Affairs in support of this performance.
3) cover general production costs and compensate our dancers - which will in turn help us justify keeping our ticket prices affoedable enough for the general public.
4) plan for subsequent programming in 2017

Every dollar is extremely appreciated, and actively helps to support not only DDTM, but the idea of keeping world-class dance and perormance art accessible for the community at large.
