Support Ady & Carl’s Big Red Truck

My name is Ady Barkan, and I live with my wife, Rachael, and our son, Carl, in Santa Barbara, California. Carl turned 2 this weekend!

Recently, because ALS is paralyzing my whole body, I began using a wheelchair to get around. The wheelchair is great! This allows Carl and me to do fun things together like go to the playground, visit the zoo, and feed ducks at the park.

But in order to reach all these great destinations, our family needs a wheelchair-accessible van. We found a great one recently — Carl’s Big Red Truck!

It’s really expensive, but it’s worth it.
