Supplies and Funds To Standing Rock

$18,368 of $20,000 goal

Raised by 311 people in 24 months

A delegation of us from Central New York are heading out to Standing Rock on Sunday, to join the struggle and help the Water Protectors. It has been very hard to get supplies on site; we'd like to try to get as many necessary items out there as we can.

Upon arrival at the Traditional Lakota Camp, Oceti Sakowin we will get with the organizers and access their need. Whether it's money or a supply run, we're down to help as best we can.

Your contribution will be personally carried into the heart of the struggle.

Please donate what you can. All moneys spent will go towards helping our brothers and sisters at Standing Rock to continue the struggle.

This campaign is organized and coordinated by Joseph Driscoll, from Syracuse, New York.  All funds raised here will be withdrawn by Joe; and he will buy supplies to help the camp. What money we don't spend,  we will give directly to the water protectors at Oceti Sakowin Camp.

I have been working alongside many activists and organizers in the movement. We are going to assess how best to utilize much the fund once we arrive at the camp and speak to the key organizers, and get their input on where best to spend the money.  We depart for the camp on Sunday, December 4th and will return on the evening of Wednesday, December 7th.

We will provide all information on how and where the funds have gone as soon as we return.

Need a little help FB fam: I first met Vaughn Bull Lodge while out at Standing Rock. While most of us were trapped in the Casino there, pinned in by a blizzard of 30 below temps and 50 mile an hour winds; Vaughn was out there in his truck-- steadily pulling people out of the ditches. The driving conditions were pure white out, zero visibility insane driving.
This is just one day among many for Vaughn and his security crew. While recently helping out stranded people thru yet another blizzard; the transmission died on his most essential tool- his war pony, his truck. Vehicles are a highly valued commodity on site, and we need to raise another $4k to get his truck fixed up. Please help one of the front line warriors, get his truck back on the road, and help one who has helped so many others, in this- his time of need. Any little helps! Thanks so much! Please donate, and share on your page with friends.

Am hoping some deep inspiration can come from the underlying effort. Meanwhile, here's my support for the day-to-day functioning in this winter season.
