Je m’appelle Cloé Giroux, j’ai 24 ans et j’ai le cancer. On m’a annoncé le 28 décembre dernier que mon cancer était incurable. Cependant, je veux continuer à me battre pour prolonger ma vie et réaliser mes rêves. Pour ce faire, j’ai toutefois besoin de votre appui, de votre aide.
Voici mon histoire.
Tout a commencé le 4 janvier 2016 lorsqu’on m’a diagnostiqué un cancer du sein triple négatif, une des formes les plus agressives. J’ai donc suivi des traitements de chimiothérapie pendant 6 mois, malheureusement sans résultat. En juillet 2016, j’ai dû subir une mastectomie du sein droit. En août 2016, c’est avec soulagement que j’apprenais que j’étais guérie et que je pouvais donc recommencer à vivre normalement.
Mon but était ainsi de retourner à l’université pour commencer mon nouveau plan de carrière. C’était le début de la réalisation de mes nouveaux rêves, mes nouveaux projets.
Fin décembre 2016, alors que je me préparais à passer sous le bistouri pour obtenir la reconstruction chirurgicale de mon sein droit, mes médecins m’appelaient pour m’annoncer une nouvelle dévastatrice !
Bien loin d’être guéri, le cancer avait plutôt progressé et s’était désormais logé dans mes deux poumons. Plus de 20 métastases ont été retrouvées dans mes poumons et selon les médecins, les pronostics de guérison sont loin d’être encourageants.
À cause de cette récidive, je n’ai donc pas pu obtenir mon opération de reconstruction mammaire.
Quel est mon objectif à présent ? Suivre un protocole de recherche en immunothérapie afin de prolonger ma vie le plus longtemps possible et surtout, de conserver une qualité de vie confortable. Cependant, ces traitements coûtent très cher. Étant donné que j’étais étudiante et que je dois maintenant encore arrêter de travailler, je ne reçois qu’un maigre montant pour m’aider à répondre à tous mes besoins.
Je fais donc appel, dans cette collecte de fonds, à votre générosité pour m’épauler financièrement et alléger le lourd fardeau qui pèse sur mes épaules.
Les fonds ramassés serviront à payer tous les frais occasionnés par ma maladie, que ce soit les déplacements en voiture, les médicaments que je dois me procurer, mon prêt automobile ou encore les frais de la vie courante.
Mes rêves ont toujours été de me marier, de fonder une famille et de voyager. Si mon état le permet, j’aimerais pouvoir, cet été, réaliser une partie de tout ceci en épousant mon amoureux et en voyageant.

My name is Cloé Giroux, I am 24 years old and I have cancer. I was told on December 28 that my cancer was incurable. However, I want to continue to fight to prolong my life and fulfill my dreams. To do that, however, I need your support and your help.
Here’s my story.
It all started on January 4, 2016 when I was diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer, one of the most aggressive forms. I followed chemotherapy treatments for 6 months, unfortunately without results. In July 2016, I had to undergo a right breast mastectomy. In August 2016, it was with relief that I learned that I was healed and that I could therefore start living normally again.
My goal was to go back to university to start my new career plan. It was the beginning of the realization of my new dreams, my new projects.
At the end of December 2016, as I was preparing to go under the knife for the surgical reconstruction of my right breast, my doctors called me to give me some devastating news!
Far from being cured, the cancer had progressed and found a new home in my two lungs. More than 20 metastases have been found in my lungs and according to doctors, healing prognoses are far from encouraging.
Because of this recurrence, I could not get my breast reconstruction operation.
What is my goal now? Follow a research protocol in immunotherapy to prolong my life as long as possible and above all, to maintain a comfortable quality of life. However, these treatments are very expensive. Since I was a student and I have to once again stop working, I only get a meager amount to help me meet all my needs.
In this fundraising, I’m therefore appealing to your generosity to help me financially and lighten the heavy burden on my shoulders.
The funds collected will be used to pay for all the expenses incurred by my illness, whether it be car trips, drugs I need to buy, my car loan or everyday living expenses.
My dreams have always been to marry, to start a family and to travel. If my state permits, I would like to be able, this summer, to realize a part of all this by marrying the love of my life and travelling.
