#SullyStrong Fundraiser

There are very few people we encounter throughout the course of our lives who live to show selfless acts of compassion to others.  Mo Sullivan is one of these people; a rare and bright light in the lives of those people blessed enough to know her.   Recently Mo was diaganosed with a very serious illness and she needs our help. 
As a teacher of the Country Day School of the Sacred Heart, an active member of St. Denis Church and the Havertown community  Mo has dedicated her life to helping those in need.

The following was written by one of the many students Mo has touched throughout her teaching career:

My relationship with Ms. Sullivan began when I was a freshmen in high school.  Officially, she was my algebra teacher (a good one, at that).  Unofficially, she taught my classmates and I many important lessons in “the school of life.”  Her wisdom came from a vast inventory of life experiences, many of them challenging and difficult to endure, all of which enabled her to understand the precious gift that is life and to cherish every minute of it. 

Ms. Sullivan always stresses an “open door policy,” encouraging students (whether she teaches them or not) to stop by her classroom to chat, to have lunch with her, to seek help with math, or to seek help in solving a problem they may be having.  She always appreciates a good laugh, which is just one of the many indicators of her unfailing love for life.  Her dedication to her students and school community is unyielding and unparalleled.  

Ms. Sullivan’s wisdom, kindness, and compassion has continued to impact me throughout my high school years.  As I have grown older, I’ve come to understand the fullness of Ms. Sullivan’s dedication to helping others.  The support and compassion she showed me during a difficult time in my life serves as a true testament to her character; she will do anything to help someone in need. 

Now it is our turn to lend a helping hand to the person who never fails to help each and every one of us and who continues to be a light in our lives.
