STWCC Parking Lot/Building Addition

Spirit & Truth Worship Center has served the local & military community of Twentynine Palms for 10 years. Our goal is to reach the lost and hurting with the message of Christ. We also equip them to take their place in the kingdom of God. We believe that we are called to go out to our community, so we have connected and participate in supporting our local food bank, low income assistance program and other local missions. We also champion Celebrate Recovery, not in our church but our meetings are in local housing venues so we can "go" and meet their needs. We are civic minded, participating in our local chamber and city council meetings. These are just a few of the opportunities we make available or participate in.
The church is a non-profit corporation and owns the property we occupy. We have also purchased the land adjacent to our current property. Once that land is paid off we will build a Community Center to offer programs that will give a "Hand Up" to our community (local & military) families.
We have been told by the city that we need to bring our parking lot to code. It is currently a dirt/gravel parking area. The cost to put in a parking lot is 165,000. It would afford our current/future members & guest a safe place to park with lighting and proper handicap parking. We have a contractor, approved plans and acquired a permit from the city on March 26, 2015. So we are ready to go. He has also provided us with a schedule of payment with our first three totaling over 20k.
We have sought financing but have been turned down due to being a non-profit or they don't consider the Parking Lot a "value to them".
We also have a strong children's ministry which is over capacity each Sunday. Last year we had 40 children per service. This year 77. We must expand the space, to accommodate the current and future growth. We also want to provide a Christian Bookstore for the Community and give Finance, Administration & Pastor office space to do the work of the church, at church. The cost for the building addition is 270,000. We do have a Contractor and approved plans for he parking lot and have hired an engineer and the same contractor for the building addition.
