Stuff the Sneakers for Men, Women & Kids in Need

Imagine not having one decent pair of sneakers or basic personal care items. That's the case for many men, women and children in WNY. Stuff the Sneakers is an annual campaign to provide those basic necessities to individuals serviced through these local organizations ~ Gerard Place, Community Missions, Harbor House Resource Center (Restoration Society) & Compass House.
Donated funds will purchase new or gently used (from thrift stores) sneakers and personal care items for adults and children. Donors will receive the receipt for items purchased with their donation, as well as a note as to which organization the donations went to. Or you can specify which organization you would prefer your donation to go to.
This campaign is in honor of my late nephew, Daniel Frawley. Danny passed away on April 17, 2014. Prior to his passing, he was helping the homeless and those facing the struggle of drug addiction (as he was) in his community. He and I shared a passion for helping others, including we were both spearheading collections in our communities of Kansas (where he lived) & Buffalo (my hometown) @ the same time during the winter of 2013-2014. Even through his own struggle, he was helping others♡ We heard many testimonials of this at both his services in Kansas & Canada. So we carry on his loving legacy through this annual campaign. As you'll see in the pictures, as a family we collect and directly distribute donations to the organizations, and in some cases, directly to those in need. As we've seen firsthand over the past 5 years, the needs in our community are great and effect many adults and children.
