STOP Love's Travel Stop - Otsego

Hello Fellow Neighbors!
After speaking with a few city planners around the Twin Cities, along with reviewing similar issues as ours, the leadership group has decided Retaining Legal Support is necessary to better organize and execute our goal of putting an end to any application for a large scale truck stop near our residential safe haven. With legal counsel, we residents can better professionally stop this before the can gets kicked to far down the road.
As many of you may know, Love's Travel Stops has a purchase agreement in place with a landowner on what is called by Otsego City, The Eide Property. Otsego, MN's development plan clearly outlines the property as zoned A1-Future Commercial for 13 acres.
The property starts near the corner of Maciver Ave NE and County Rd 37, essentially at the entrance to many of our neighborhoods. Many of us chose this area for the quiet, friendly, family orientated, small town feel. Having this "Travel Stop" so near our homes will significantly change that.
We are seeking donations from all of Otsego and its neighbors who don't want this land rezoned. Hiring legal counsel is the best chance we have to strike early. Lets prevent further site development of Love's Travel Stop and/or any other large scale truck stop in this city. Don't wait for an application to donate. Our best chances is to ask council to review zoning and stop it before the company spends thousands on a site plan application.
