Blood & Oil: A Standing Rock Story

Hello everyone... first off, I just want to take a moment to tell you a little bit about myself.  My name is Jason Keomany and I'm husband and a father to two beautiful children (soon to be three).  I'm hoping to raise some money for me to travel to Standing Rock to document what's going on there, speak with the people that have been there from the beginning and to tell their story.    We only know what the news "wants" us to hear/know. In addition to the photos I'll be taking, I'm hoping to bring along another individual with me to help with writing and telling our story.   The money we raise will be used for travel expenses (flight or rental car/gas), lodging, food, and any necessary equipment. Another part of this will be using the remainder of the funds raised (what isn't necessary for the trip) to go towards supplies that are much needed for those that are there day in and day out, especially now that winter is upon us.  I'm hoping that we can reach our goal before the end of December, which is when I'm looking to make the trip.  This story is near and dear to me like so many others because when I'm long gone, I want to leave a wonderful world behind for my children and the rest of the children... the world can only handle so much more destruction before it's too late.  We have the choice, to stand up and let our voices be heard or to just sit back in our chairs and "hope" things change.  Well... I can't do that.  I would be so incredibly thankful for your support with this endeavor.   And with everyone's support, I know we can make this possible!  Thank you all for your support.
