Solidarity with Standing Rock

Our grass-roots Native non-profit Red Earth Descendants stands in solidarity with Standing Rock, Oceti Sakowin and their allies against Dakota Access Pipeline, the destruction of sacred places and the trespasses upon your Treaty Land. The funds raised from this campaign will be dedicated to legal defense and the documentation/filming of life in the camps for the Protectors on the front-lines.
When there are so many worthy causes out there to provide funding for, you might ask why this action? Why donate to this particular cause? If you are an American and were born on this continent, you need to understand we are on indigenous Native lands without the permission of the First Nations People.
Native American people have carried the brunt of the United States energy policies and we stand with you as you give the collective “NO” to any furtherance of these destructive and desecrating ways. We want to thank you for your success in uniting the People as according to the many prophecies. We move into a time of a crossroads of prophesies in which the signs all around us are telling us to take action for the healing of our Mother and our Future Generations. We stand shoulder to shoulder with you as you pray for the end of the Black Snake, the unification of our Nations and a path made to the future.
The implications of this inter-tribal coalition are immense. We are paying attention to how this is affecting our People. Friends and family come away reporting that they are changed forever from this experience. You wake up and go to morning ceremonies, singers sharing songs from their tribes, our elders are sharing their stories, all meals are prayed over, singers sing every night, everyone is busy and everyone feels fulfilled. This is the Good Life that we crave and are meant to live as natural Human Beings. In other words, the best healing we can give ourselves is ourselves.
It is a great thing, to unite the Nations. We are making relations from Tribe to Tribe, and Tribe to many organizations, establishing a communication network never before seen. The potential of this network is immense. As we know, we are seeing the last gasps of the fossil fuel industry and can expect things to get worse before they get better, which in turn, means our battles with them will also get worse. What you have shown, through solidarity, is that the People are powerful and can withstand the adversity shown us.
The battles are just beginning. With the massive protests against KXL pipeline shutting it down, we know our path. We feel it is important to unite and be there for witnessing and for protection. Every Tribe could have a dedicated fund to send witnesses and protectors to places where they are needed to defend our Mother. As we shake off our complacency, we need to send a message worldwide, that we can no longer tolerate this desecration to Unci Maka and for everyone to follow suit.
Red Earth Descendants is putting in work for an all Native recovery/activism center called Red Willow Center. Within this Center we will establish an Idle No More office. We wish to be a part of this network so we can start petitions, do marches, phone banking, send defenders, create legislation etc. to affect environmental and social justice. As we move into a time that, as a spirit, we chose to be in, we all want to use our gifts. In using our gifts, we are fulfilled. The action at Standing Rock is a very serious cause and the medicine that is in the camp fills people with hope and clarity around the world. It feeds their spirits as well their bodies and minds. This is the Indian way. I am glad the world is seeing.
