StandingRock supplies/delivery trip

My name is Shawnda, a friend of mine reached out to me this morning wanting to do something to help those at Standing Rock in North Dakota. We both expressed our anger and frustration as to what is happening there amongst other things in the world right now and how helpless we feel in not being to do enough. But we are not helpless and can and WILL do something to help the tribes and allies in ND who are fighting effortlessly and couragously to stop this pipeline from being put in beneath their water supply. We know the damage these pipelines cause and want to help stop this from happening! We are starting see that this just may be one of the biggest earth shaking historical movements and events in our lifetime.
My friend Wendy Chappell-Dick in OH has friends on site at Standing Rock where we are working on a supply list of items that her and I and some people here in MI are gathering to drive to Standing Rock this weekend. She is in close connections with the Mennonite Church, has a van, getting 1 or 2 more Vans in Minnesota, has free connections for places to sleep each night and we leave tomorrow early AM. We are also working on getting a Doctor to possibly go with us to bring medical to those in need. We are doing our due diligence to get these supplies to the right people. A gentleman friend by the name Husayn Allmart has been there at Standing Rock and is in touch with Elders. We are getting info from them to make sure we have the right supply lists and correct drop off points for items to be dispersed propely and efficiently. Husayn has also done a Gofun me in the past and had great success.
The money will be used to buy supplies, propane, food, clothing, gas, etc. This money is NOT for us-it is for those at Standing Rock who are peacefully fighting and living while protecting their Tribal Land.
Anything at all you can donate over the next 24 hours we will be deeply greatful for and much appreciatedand any money left over will be donated to the proper organization.

We have friends already donating winter clothes and gas money and if you happen to be in the Ann Arbor area, I(Shawnda) will be collecting things this evening for the trip if you are able to donate. This wouldnt be possible without you so thank you again!!!
