Standing Rock needs food and heat

United Citizens For Standing Rock is a group of social activists seeking justice at Standing Rock. Living near Standing Rock has given me a first hand perspective of the serious struggle that is occurring on this beautiful sacred land.
We are on the ground in Standing Rock now:
Everyday we witness peaceful protectors being harassed by militarized forces, being sprayed with mace, being fired upon with rubber bullets, having attack dogs unleashed on groups, they are even spraying us with water cannons as we congregate. This cruelty is being unleashed on us all and no one is spared. Local workers for the oil companies have even joined in to harass us and vandalize our equipment.
Last week, shipments of supplies from us and others were halted and disposed of by threatening security forces on site. After consistent pleading we were allowed to bring much needed supplies in the next day.
None of this will stop us from remaining in solidarity and doing our part to help those at Standing Rock. They desparately need food and heating immediately as supplies are low and temperatures are going below zero very soon.
Here is why we need your help:
We have been doing all we can on a small scale such as providing canned goods, blankets, clothing, and one heater source but this is definitely not enough. Our vision is to make a greater impact by doing this on a much larger scale.
Our goal is to provide heat and food to these brave occupiers at Standing Rock. We have a contract with a supplier to purchase 35 commercial heaters, heat tenting, and 15 generators at a discount. We also have a contract with 2 local diners to provide free breakfast and free dinner on a daily basis at a discount to us. In time, we will have a mobile food truck on location.
Every day the conditions at Standing Rock are getting worse. It's getting much colder, the supplies are running out, and the militarized police are getting more aggressive.
